Once Disney announced that they would be reopening in July they also announced their new Park Pass reservation system. Guests who already had both hotel reservations and tickets were given first crack at the new reservation system. As a result, Disney paused the sale of new tickets and hotel reservations for the rest of 2020, but that’s about to change.
Starting tomorrow, July 9, Disney World ticket sales and hotel reservations for 2020 will resume. The website and phone lines will probably be pretty busy, so keep that mind if you are making reservations tomorrow. Disney also noted that tickets and hotel bookings may be released at different times throughout the day tomorrow. See their quote below.
For those looking to make their plans right away, please note that tickets and Disney Resort hotel bookings may be released at different times throughout the day tomorrow. In addition, we will use virtual waiting rooms as needed to manage the high volume of guests looking to plan their visits.
When making hotel reservations and purchasing tickets be prepared to pick park days at the same time. Since guests are required to reserve a day in a park for each day of the length of the ticket, it’s important to be able to pick your days right away.
Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom open this Saturday, July 11. Epcot and Hollywood Studios follow a few days later opening on Wednesday, July 15.
Are you excited for ticket sales and hotel reservations to resume?
Thanks for reading!

The park was closed for four months due to the pandemic. Yet Disney is only offering a one month extension to annual passes. Not an equitable compensation.
My annual pass was extended the full length of the days it was closed. Was set to expire on November 3rd now it says it expires February 28th.
Since reservations have to be made for the parks will Park Hopper tickets still be available?
Hi Shirley!
For 2020 tickets the Park Hopper option is not available. However, Disney added that option back in for 2021 tickets.
