This week’s snackshot is a delicious combination of fruit and chocolate.
During my last trip I visited Big Top Souvenirs in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom. This is a good sized souvenir shop that sells everything from Mickey hats (and headbands) to yummy treats. Some of those treats are Disney themed, like the candy apples, which are one of my favorite snacks at Disney and the reason I was in the store to begin with.
While picking out my candy apple I noticed the chocolate covered pineapple spears. I love chocolate and I love pineapple, so I bought one of these to try (the candy apple came home for the family to share).
The pineapple was sweet and juicy and milk chocolate covered the whole pineapple spear. When you bite into the spear the chocolate starts to melt and mixes nicely with the pineapple. So you get the initial bite of hard chocolate, but then everything mixes together into a delicious chocolate pineapple combination. It was so good and, if I’m being honest, my mouth is watering slightly as I am writing.
One piece of advice I would give about the pineapple spear is to make sure you have plenty of napkins with you, especially if you are going to eat it in the park. The chocolate covered fruit can be messy in the Florida heat, so the napkins help.
I held on to mine and waited until I got back to the room, because it was July and I wouldn’t have been able to finish it before making a complete mess with the melting chocolate. When I got back to the room I put it in the fridge for a bit and the chocolate still had a snap to it when I took it out. I will definitely be getting one of these again. It was delicious!
Have you tried any of the chocolate covered fruit at Disney World?
Thanks for reading!

Those Chocolate Covered Pineapple Spear look awesome, can’t wait to try.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, Jorge! 🙂
Can you use your snack from your food plan
Besides the shaved ice in Epcot’s Japan, this is my favorite snack. I have to have several (at least) each trip.
I’ll have to try the shaved ice on my next trip!
