This week’s featured photo brings us to Animal Kingdom.
Pandora – The World of Avatar is a section in Animal Kingdom park that is themed after the popular movie Avatar. The land is very impressive, even if you are not a fan of the movie. The detail that the Imagineers put into this area is seriously impressive. I mean, you can stand under the floating mountains! The rest of the scenery is very well done too. It really makes you feel like you are somewhere other than Disney World.
As cool as Pandora is during the day, you definitely have to check it out once the sun goes down too. At night the area is illuminated with beautiful colors! The plants, the water, the floating mountains, and the path all look beautiful at night. I love how the path is illuminated, it’s such a cool feature in this area and really reminds you of the movie.
The featured photo is one one of the water features in this section. There are a few different waterfalls, including one in the floating mountains. I love the different waterfalls that they have in this area and at night they look beautiful. It was relaxing to wander around here at night, because of all the beautiful colors. The waterfall features are great spots to take some pictures, they make for really nice backgrounds.
In addition to the beautiful bioluminescence at night, this land as two rides, a quick service restaurant, a gift shop, face painting, and a couple of different interactive shows. There is quite a bit packed into this area.

Thank you, Liz!!
Pandora at night is just the most beautiful sight to see. It was also nice that there were photopass photographers available to take fantastic pictures of us in front of the glowing plant life and rock structures. Pandora is not to be missed at night that’s for sure as it makes you feel like you are in another world!
