This weekend is the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. During these expos Disney always makes announcements of what will be coming to the parks in the next few years. The first couple announcements for Disney World have to do with Hollywood Studios and Epcot.
Hollywood Studios
The new Star Wars experience, which will be connected to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios, finally has a name. This experience will fully immerse guests in the stories of the characters around them and will include a two-night adventure aboard the “ship.” Disney announced that the name of this will be Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. This is a new type of experience that Disney is going to offer, so it’s a bit different from the current hotels on Disney property.

Epcot
Two experiences were also announced for Epcot. One attraction is designed after the popular movie “Moana” and will be called Journey of Water, Inspired by “Moana.” This new attraction will give guests the chance to interact with magical, living water. There’s no word yet on whether this means we will finally be getting a Moana meet and greet (outside of the Halloween party), but we can hope!

Walt Disney Imagineering Presents the Epcot Experience is the second new experience that will be coming to Epcot. This experience will take place in the Odyssey Events Pavilion and will have some interactive exhibits. These exhibits will give guests a look at the transformation that Epcot is currently going through. This should be an interesting exhibit, especially with all the construction that is going on at Epcot.
As the weekend progresses there will be more announcements. I’ll make sure to keep the website updated with announcements made during the D23 Expo.
Which of the above experiences are you looking most forward to seeing?
Thanks for reading!
