We already know that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was cancelled this year, but there was a question about the Christmas Party. Today Disney shared lots of information about the upcoming holiday season in Disney World, including news about the Christmas Party.
Disney World has lots of fun things planned for guests this holiday season. From November 6 – December 30 festive decorations, themed merchandise, seasonal food & drinks, and entertainment will be available throughout Disney World. The theme parks, Disney Springs, and Disney World hotels will all have their own way to celebrate the holidays. Disney released a video today that helps you get in the mood for the holidays. Holiday Experiences Coming to Disney World
- Character Cavalcades
- Festive Flotillas – Animal Kingdom
- Holiday Promenades – Epcot
- Merry Motorcades – Hollywood Studios
- Character Cavalcades with a Special Holiday Twist at Magic Kingdom
- Gingerbread men, elves, reindeer, toy soldiers, characters in holiday outfits, and the Main Street Philharmonic.
- Special holiday projections on Cinderella Castle will provide a nice backdrop for guests.
- Minnie and friends will be meeting guests in their holiday best at Hollywood & Vine at Hollywood Studios starting November 6. Santa Goofy is included in the characters meeting here.
- Christmas Trees in Disney Springs
- Magical Snowfall in Disney Springs
- Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs will transform to Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar, which includes holiday decor and a special limited-time menu with festive items.
- Christmas trees and holiday decorations will decorate the lobby of Disney World hotels.
- Starting November 27 the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays will return. Guests can visit the holiday kitchens located around World Showcase.
- JOYFUL! will return to World ShowPlace entertaining the crowds through R&B, Gospel, contemporary, and traditional Christmas and holiday music.
- Voices of Liberty will perform carols and songs of the season in the America Gardens Theatre.
- Santa will make appearances at all four theme parks and Disney Springs.
As shown above, there are many things planned for guests to enjoy, but there are also some fan favorites that will not be taking place this year. The events and shows cancelled this year were cancelled because they draw big crowds.

Yes! We just scheduled a trip for the first part of December for my 40th birthday. This will be our first Christmas-time visit to Disney World. We aren’t telling the kids to surprise them. Can’t wait (especially since May and then September this year couldn’t happen).
