This has not been a good week for entertainment news from Disney World. Just the other day it was announced that the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra is done as of October 3, now we’ve learned that another popular performer will not be returning.
Bob Jackson, better known to Disney World guests as Yehaa Bob Jackson, will not be returning to River Roost at Port Orleans Riverside. He has been performing at the resort for 23 years and has many fans who travel to the resort specifically to see him. His acts included songs and props, and he was big on audience participation. I remember the first time I saw him a few years ago and it was such a fun show. He was so entertaining and you could tell how much he appreciated each and every person that came to see him. Many people would wait after his sets to take pictures with him and chat for a few. This is such sad news.

During the pandemic he has been doing shows on Sundays through his Facebook page and would include some Disney songs. Even if he is not allowed to perform Disney songs anymore (since he’s no longer contracted with Disney) I encourage you to follow his page and show him support. He also performs for the kids at Give Kids the World and has his own original music. So he doesn’t just do Disney, but that’s how a lot of us know him.
I’m hoping that when things start getting better, Disney will look at hiring new acts or rehiring acts they had to let go. Only time will tell, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Thank you Bob, for all the great shows over the years. You will be sincerely missed and Port Orleans Riverside will not be the same without you.

So sad
Been going there since ‘75 when it was good yet. We are DVC members, I am a past CM and can remember the Christmas decorations at EPCOT the blue and white arch between the lands and just wonderful all the time. Corp cut, cut, cut and raised prices to the pathetic! Then had the gaul to change to park!! They don’t seem to give a hoot about anything but themselves, hope they are happy in their selfish greed!!
This makes me very sad. We love Bob. Is there anyplace that I can voice my unhappiness directly to Disney
