Yesterday I posted the picture above and asked for guesses as to where it is located. This one turned out to be a tough one, but there were four people who knew where to find the light.
Congratulations to Michelle, Becky, Disney Dennis, and Pickles who all knew the light can be found in the queue line for Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom! This is one of Disney’s classic rides and the last attraction the Walt oversaw before his death, so it’s a favorite among a lot of Disney fans.
The queue line, like all of Disney’s ride queue lines, is themed to the ride. The idea is that you are walking through an alleyway in a Spanish fortress before you get to the boat that you will board. Make sure to take a look around as you are making your way to the boats, there are so many details.
The ride itself is pretty fun. Guests board a boat and make their way through different scenes. Of course, one of the scenes has the famous “A Pirate’s Life for Me” song. Another famous scene is The Dungeon, where jailed pirates are trying to coax a dog holding keys to the jail cell over to them so they can escape the fire. The battle scene is fun, because water shoots up all around the boat, as if a cannonball had been shot into the water near your boat. Also, keep a lookout for Captain Jack Sparrow, he pops up in different scenes throughout the ride.
This is a fun ride, but it is a dark ride and there is a drop during the ride. So if you have little ones that are scared of the dark or any kind of drops I would skip this one. However, if everyone in your party is good with dark rides and drops then definitely don’t miss this one. There’s a reason this classic Disney attraction is on many Disney fans’ must-do lists!
Thanks to everyone who played along this week and congratulations to those that knew where to find the light! Another picture will be up soon!
Do you ride Pirates of the Caribbean every time you go to Disney World?
Thanks for reading!
