Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some great guesses, but eight people knew exactly where to find the marquee.
Congratulations to Madison, Linda, Corinne, Jen, Shelli, Jane, Anne-Marie, and Dean who all knew that the marquee can be found inside Spaceship Earth at Epcot. This attraction is also the well-known icon of the park, often being referred to as the giant golf ball. Spaceship Earth celebrates the history of communications technology starting with cave paintings and moving through scenes with Gutenberg’s printing press, to newspapers, to the broadcast of the moon landing, and more. The picture above is a movie theater scene, coming in a little halfway through the ride.
Spaceship Earth is a nice slow moving, relaxing ride and it’s especially great for one of those hot Florida summer days. There are some interactive aspects to it too. Near the end of the ride you will answer some questions on a touch screen in your ride vehicle and that comes in handy when you get off the ride. The exit will lead you to an area where you can see the results from your answers on a big screen and you will even be able to email them to yourself. It’s a pretty fun interactive area!
Thanks to everyone who played along and congratulations to those who knew where to find the marquee! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. Do you like to ride Spaceship Earth when visiting Epcot?
Thanks for reading!
