Disney World has been reopening more restaurants and hotels over the past few months, which is great to see. Something guests have been wondering about, though, is when more shows would be returning as well.
Recently, Disney announced reopening dates for some shows that are making a return in August to Disney World. Along with this also came the news that a couple of nighttime shows will be ending this fall.
Returning Shows
- Wonderful World of Animation – Scenes from 90 years of Disney animation get projected onto the Chinese Theater each evening.
- Reopening Date: August 1
- Park: Hollywood Studios
- Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor – Comedy show with characters from the movie and audience participation.
- Reopening Date: August 8
- Park: Magic Kingdom
- Where: Tomorrowland
- Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage – Stage performance with scenery and songs from the movie.
- Reopening Date: August 15
- Park: Hollywood Studios
- Where: Theater of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard
- Turtle Talk with Crush – Kids get to interact with the popular sea turtle from the Finding Nemo movie.
- Reopening Date: August 21
- Park: Epcot
- Where: The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Shows That Are Closing
- EPCOT Forever
- Last Show Date: September 28
- Being Replaced With: Harmonious on October 1
- Happily Ever After
- Last Show Date: September 29
- Being Replaced With: Disney Enchantment on October 1
