Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some good guesses, but five people knew exactly where to find this snowflake.
Congratulations to Becky, Vicki, Juli, Disney Dennis, and Addi who all knew the snowflake can be found on one of the hot air balloons in The Land pavilion at Epcot. The hot air balloon is one of five hanging from inside The Land pavilion. The middle balloon represents the earth and the four surrounding it represent the different seasons. They’re a fun and unique fixture in this pavilion, and you can’t miss this when you enter the building on the second floor.
Dining
In addition to the hot air balloons, there are rides and dining options available. If you’re feeling hungry you can check out the quick service location, Sunshine Seasons, for a quick bite to eat. They usually have good variety to choose from and there’s plenty of seating for guests in that area. For guests looking for a table service meal they can check out The Garden Grill. This fun restaurant actually rotates slowly as guests enjoy their meal and while it rotates guests will be able to see scenes from Living with the Land, one of the rides in the pavilion. The Garden Grill also has characters, like Chip & Dale, who wander through the dining area. So this is a good option if you want to see characters.
Attractions
Living with the Land takes guests on a journey through the history of farming. Included on this ride is a visit to Disney’s own greenhouses where they grow food that’s served in some of their restaurants. This boat ride is a great option for those that want to get off their feet and relax for a few. There’s rarely a line, and even if there is a line it usually moves quickly.
Another attraction is a 10-minute movie called Awesome Planet. This movie features scenes from around the world. In addition to the video, there are in-theater effects used, like wind, scents, and water. The movie explains why it’s important to take care of our planet. So this is another option that good for those looking to get off their feet and relax for a bit.
The third attraction is one of Disney’s most popular. Soarin’ takes guests on a journey around the world visiting places like the Swiss Alps, Greenland, Australia, Mount Kilimanjaro, China, Egypt, India, Paris, and more before ending in Epcot. To simulate hang gliding, this attraction actually lifts guests in front of a large screen and tilts as the scenes change. It’s a fun ride and wait times can get long, so it’s best to try to head to this one first thing in the morning when crowds are lower.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where the snowflake is located and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
What’s your favorite thing to do in The Land pavilion?
Thanks for reading!
