For those planning to travel to Disney World in 2023, you will soon be able to book dates for next year. This includes tickets only, room only, or packages (booking tickets and the room together).
Starting June 8 bookings will open for 2023. The 50th Anniversary will still be going on for the beginning part of 2023, so if you won’t make it to Disney World in 2022 you can look at booking something for the beginning of next year. Also, throughout next year Disney World will be keeping the early entry for Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests. This is a nice option for those that don’t mind being up early, because you can get some rides in before the crowds start getting to the parks.
In addition to bookings for 2023 opening on June 8, Disney will be making some changes to Genie+. Beginning June 8, guests will no longer be able to purchase Genie+ ahead of time for the length of their tickets. So everyone will have to purchase the Genie+ on the day of the park visit each day. Guests will only be able to make this purchase through the My Disney Experience app, so the ability to add it on through the website will go away on June 8. This change will only affect Walt Disney World guests and Disney noted that the reason for the change is due to guest feedback.
Are you planning to travel to Disney World in 2023?
Thanks for reading!

Will this affect people who have already purchased genie plus for trips after June 8th?
Hi! If you have purchased Genie+ already as part of your package you will still be able to use it. It’s just guests who wait until after June 8th that won’t be able to add it as part of a room and ticket package.
