Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. No one guessed where the mural is located, which can be found in an area is well traveled, but it’s positioned higher up on the building.
The mural can be found at one of the entrances to Disney Springs. Specifically, it’s located above the Luxury of Time window. The mural looks like it depicts what Disney Springs looked like as a town. It’s one of those fun details around Disney Springs that gives a glimpse of what the area used to look like, according to the Disney Springs backstory. Now the area is home to shopping, dining, and entertainment, separated into four sections: The Landing, Marketplace, Town Center, and West Side.
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the four different sections. In fact, there are 66 different places to grab a bite. The locations vary from table service, quick service, and lounges, and the type of food varies as well. Everyone will be able to find something to enjoy, but if you have picky eaters in the group it can’t hurt to look at menus beforehand. One of my favorite places is Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, but there are lots of good places to try.
In addition to dining, Disney Springs also offers 103 shopping opportunities. A favorite stop for many guests is the World of Disney store, where guests can shop the largest collection Disney merchandise. Like the dining options, there is a variety of shops to choose from with all sorts of merchandise available. It’s fun to visit on a non-park day and look around, even if you don’t buy anything, there’s plenty of window shopping opportunities.
As for entertainment, there are 28 different entertainment options available. Some of these entertainment options include the Amphicars at the Boathouse, a ride in the Aerophile balloon, bowling at Splitsville, Marketplace train and carousel for kids, Cirque du Soleil, and more. There’s quite a bit of entertainment available for guests to see in between shopping and dining.
Thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
