Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some great guesses, but four people knew where to find the sign.
Congratulations to Caroline, Robbie, Dean T, and Melanie, who all knew the sign can be found at the BoardWalk Deli. This is the former location of the BoardWalk Bakery. The redesign of this location is made to look and feel like a deli you would find in New York or New Jersey, with menu items you would in a deli there. There are items that were available at the bakery that are still available, because they still have a decent amount of baked goods on the menu. They also have made-to-order sandwiches and grab & go items, as well.
During our last trip we tried some of the items for breakfast: a bacon, egg, & cheese on a bagel, a NY half moon cookie, and a Mickey cinnamon roll. Everything was good, but as with anything, everyone has their own preferences for things. The NY half moon cookie was good and the chocolate cake portion of it was tasty, but I’m more of a fan of a black & white cookie where the cake portion is vanilla and a little more crumbly. The bacon, egg, & cheese on a bagel was decent and a good, quick option when you want to be able to eat something on the go. As for the Mickey cinnamon bun, that will always be a must when visiting this location. Plus, the cinnamon bun is big enough for a family to share. Those are only a small portion of what is available though. So it’s worth stopping by the deli when you are in the area to see what else they have.
