Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some good guesses, as always, but five people knew exactly where to find the decorations.
Congratulations to Caroline, Kathy, Kelly, Linda, and Dean who all knew the decorations are located at the Fantasia store in Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The decorations are designed to look like the hat Mickey wears in the movie Fantasia, and it’s a really cute touch. You can’t miss the hats or the giant Mickey ears that are at one of the entrances of the store. It’s not a huge store, but it does have a variety of items to see. Things like toys, plush, pins, cell phone covers, clothes, and more can be found in this little shop.
The Contemporary Resort is one of Disney’s Magic Kingdom Resort hotels, so it is on the monorail loop. While the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian Resorts have their monorail stations outside of the resorts, the Contemporary was built to allow the monorail to pass right through the building. This resort is also home to one the famous Mary Blair murals, which can be seen from the monorail. There are a number of restaurants (both quick service and table service) at this resort, including California Grill, which gives guests great views of Magic Kingdom while dining. Plus, guests who dine at California Grill can watch the nightly fireworks from the observation deck at the restaurant. It’s one of Disney World’s original resorts and the fact that it is within walking distance to Magic Kingdom makes it one of Disney’s more popular resorts.
