Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some good guesses, but two people knew where to find this Mickey.
Congratulations to Caroline and Dean who knew that the Mickey can be found at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Specifically, it is located at M. Mouse Mercantile, a gift shop on the second floor of the resort. Like any gift shop, guests can find a variety of items to purchase. Find clothing, pins, snacks, toys, games, Mickey and Minnie ear headbands and hats, towels, and more. It’s not a big gift shop, but it’s still fun to take a look around. Plus, since it is on an upper floor, there are some nice views of the resort from the large windows that are all around the gift shop.
The Grand Floridian is Disney’s flagship resort and even if you are not staying here it’s a fun resort to visit. There are other shopping options here as well as dining options. During the Christmas season there is a life size gingerbread house in the lobby where guests can purchase food items and souvenirs (it smells so good in the lobby at this time of year) and around Easter time guests can see the big decorated eggs that are in the lobby. Even if there is nothing extra going on in the lobby, it’s still worth a stop, because the lobby itself is very impressive. With the high ceilings and the massive chandelier that hangs in the lobby, you can’t help but feel the sophistication that is in the decor throughout this resort.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the Mickey and thanks to everyone who played along this week! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
Have you visited the shops at the Grand Floridian Resort?
Thanks for reading!
