Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. This is clearly a popular spot, because 14 people knew where this monorail stop is located.
Congratulations to everyone who knew the monorail station is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The monorail station is located at the main building, so it’s easy to hop on and do the monorail resort loop, head to Magic Kingdom, or switch at the Transportation and Ticket center to go to EPCOT. Each resort monorail station has a security check point, so guests will have to go through security before boarding the monorail.
As I said above, the monorail goes to different resorts, as well as two theme parks, and the Transportation and Ticket Center. In order to go to EPCOT, guests do have to switch monorail tracks at the Transportation and Ticket Center, but they exit and entrance are close to each other, so it’s not too bad of a walk.
Resort Monorail Loop Order of Stops:
- Magic Kingdom
- Contemporary Resort
- Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC)
The EPCOT Monorail only runs between the TTC and EPCOT. There is also an Express Monorail that only runs between the TTC and Magic Kingdom. Both the Resort Monorail and the Express Monorail begin operating 30 minutes before Magic Kingdom opens and they stop an hour after Magic Kingdom closes. The EPCOT Monorail begins operating 30 minutes before EPCOT opens and stops two hours after EPCOT closes.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where the monorail station is located and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. What’s your favorite stop on the monorail?
Thanks for reading!
