Disney has started narrowing down the opening window for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom in Frontierland. While we may not have an exact day, we at least have a timeframe now.
The reimagined ride will be opening sometime in summer of 2024, so there isn’t too much longer of a wait. In addition to the opening timeframe, Disney also shared some pictures and video of one of the Tiana animatronics and the movements are so smooth. Disney does animatronic figures so well!

The ride will have other animatronics of characters from the movie, as well as some music from “The Princess and the Frog.” There will be other music during the ride, as well. The new music will be from collaborations Disney has with PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard, so expect to hear some original music from both artists during your next ride.
And for everyone wondering, yes the big drop at the end is still part of the ride. You can see it from the walkways, so I didn’t expect them to change that, but it’s nice to get confirmation. It sounds like the ride track is pretty much the same, it’s just the theming around it that’s changing. This has always been one of my favorite rides, so I’m very excited to get back on the ride and experience the new theming and the fun drop at the end (maybe I’ll finally keep my eyes open … maybe).
Are you excited to get back on this ride?
Thanks for reading!
