Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. Two people were able to identify where it find the frog.
Congratulations to Linda and Amanda, who both knew the frog can be found at the Wilderness Lodge. Specifically it is on the totem pole in the lobby of the hotel. If you have never been to this lobby, do yourself a favor and visit the Wilderness Lodge during your next visit. This is one of the most impressive lobbies on property. The lobby has a high ceiling, which gives views four floors up. Guests can get some good views of the lobby from the higher floors.
One impressive site in the lobby is the fireplace, which has a chimney that can be seen all the way up to the top floor of the lobby. In front of the fireplace are plenty of seats, so it’s a relaxing place to unwind after a busy day in the parks. Another unique feature in the lobby is the bridge over part of a stream, which flows outside the hotel. Kids love looking at the water from the bridge and it’s a good place for a picture.
Wilderness Lodge can be reached by boat or bus. It is a Magic Kingdom hotel, but it is not on the monorail line. This is also a Disney Vacation Club resort hotel, so there are some villas and cabins available to book (Copper Creek and Boulder Ridge). The hotel also has some popular dining locations with Story Book Dining at Artist Point and Whispering Canyon Cafe being some favorites for guests. Story Book Dining is a character dining experience with Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey, and the Evil Queen meeting guests, but it tends to book up quickly. After eating guests can take a stroll around the grounds of the resort.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the frog and thank you to everyone who played along! The next Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
Have you visited Disney’s Wilderness Lodge?
Thanks for reading!
