We know the opening date and now Disney has shared more information of things to expect when the ride reopens.
To start, when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens in Magic Kingdom on June 28 it will initially have a virtual queue. The times for the virtual queue will be the same as other virtual queue times, 7 am and 1 pm. However, this will only be in place for the ride’s initial opening days, Disney expects to have the standby queue open not long after June 28th.
In addition to the virtual queue and standby line, this ride will also be on the Lightning Lane list on Disney’s Genie+ service. Guests who purchase Genie+ will be able to book Tiana’s Bayou Adventure through the app on the day they are visiting the park. Make sure to give yourself enough time to get on the app when booking opens at 7 am, because this one is sure to book up quickly.
There will also still be a ride photo when you get to the point just before the big drop. The ride photo will obviously be themed to the ride and have some of the characters seen throughout the ride on the photo. It’s a pretty cute picture!
Something to look for in Magic Kingdom on June 28 and beyond is new merchandise themed after Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Merchandise will be available at the Emporium on Main Street U.S.A. and Critter Co-Op in Frontierland.
Another thing to look for will be beignets being served at Golden Oakpost and The Friar’s Nook. The beignets will be drizzled with honey and powdered sugar, and will be available for a limited time. Disney hasn’t given an end date of when they will stop serving the beignets. So it’s unclear how long the beignets will be available in the park.
Splash Mountain has been my favorite ride since it opened and I love the drop at the end. So I’m very excited for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to open and to experience that drop once again. The view just before the drop is awesome!
Disney is sure to release more details the closer it gets to the opening date, so I’ll update when they make any other announcements.
Thanks for reading!
