Star Wars Weekends has always been a popular event that happens at Hollywood Studios every year. However, it looks like the weekends are no more.
According to Disney Parks Blog, with all of the Star Wars activities being added and because of the construction for the new Star Wars Land, Disney will not be continuing with Star Wars Weekends.
Guests might be upset when they first learn that the themed weekends are done, but there will be plenty of Star Wars activities to see at Hollywood Studios every day.
First of all, Disney will be adding a new location to the Star Tours attraction starting in December. The new location will be from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The Jedi Training will be back in December too. The new experience is called Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple. This is where kids will be able to a secret sit of an ancient Jedi temple. Expect encounters with Darth Vadar and the Seventh Sister, who is from “Star Wars Rebels.”
Something else opening in December is the Star Wars Launch Bay. This is an area where guests will be able to see different props and artifacts that were used in the different Star Wars movies, an opportunity to have a picture taken with Chewbacca and Darth Vadar, a behind-the-scenes look at what is going on with the future of the saga, and a chance to play the Disney Xfinity 3.0 with an exclusive Star Wars edition built just for the Star Wars Launch Bay.
Plus, of course, Disney has announced that there will be a new land devoted to Star Wars at Hollywood Studios. Work on the new land is expected to begin in 2016.
Are you excited for the new Star Wars experiences coming to Disney World?
