In life sometimes there are many things that seem to follow us around. When I was a child, I used to think the moon followed our car at night. As a grown adult, I tend to spot Mickey Mouse, just about everywhere.
Finding “Hidden Mickey’s” in the parks and in Disney movies has become habit. In fact, to me it’s not just in “Disney” branded places either! In the hallway at my office, there is a chip in the paint that happens to look like Mickey.
So naturally, when I go places I tend to look for Mickey and Friends. Recently I took a tour of the PEZ Candy Company in Orange, CT.
Part of the tour is a scavenger hunt that you can do, where you look for special dispensers throughout the tour and if you find all the letters and guess the phrase on the card, you get a free dispenser at the end! I was super excited to find out that the theme of the scavenger hunt at the moment is The Seven Dwarfs! (I won’t reveal the end phrase but you can see the card below).
Also throughout the tour, you can see super cool retro PEZ dispensers with various pop culture themes. Jiminy Cricket is my absolute favorite character of all time, so I was super stoked to see retro Jiminy Cricket PEZ dispensers on display.
Of course after the tour it’s time to go shopping, and well, you can’t buy Mickey without Minnie, Donald without Daisy and of course you can’t forget Pluto, especially at $1.99 each, right? I was very sad to see there wasn’t a Goofy, but I’ll keep searching!
Along with the Mickey and Friends series, they had a Disney Princess series. I picked some of my favorites, but they had MANY others at the shop that included everyone from Ariel to Mulan to Anna and Elsa and Pocahontas!
So a day I thought would be full of friends and candy, turned into a Disney fix too! Gotta love it!
Where do you see Disney in everyday life?
Thanks for reading!

Pez Factory is in my back yard almost. Have done tour a few times. Always find something new.
Love to see the old dispensers. But like Disney World, Goofy gets the short end. He and Tink are my favorite characters.
We did the PEZ tour too, so much fun! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they add Goofy soon. 🙂
