New Details Released About Planet Hollywood Redesign

Planet Hollywood closed in January to go through an extensive refurb and redesign. We are still waiting for a reopening date, but there has been some information released about the new lounge.

Disney announced that the new lounge will be called Stargazer Lounge. To go along with the name of the lounge and the theme of the restaurant, a turn-of-the-20th-century observatory, guests will find signature cocktails that have names inspired by the planets and space travel.

Disney did mention two new cocktails that will be on the menu, The Observatory and the Sparkling Sputnik, but the rest of the food and drink menus have yet to be released. And don’t worry; the restaurant will still have all the fun movie memorabilia, in addition to more video screens, music, and a store where you can find themed merchandise. 

As I said above, we are still waiting for an official opening date, but the fact that they are releasing information like this is a good sign. The opening date is still listed as “Fall 2016,” but the article from Disney says that it will open “later this year.” When it does reopen you will be able to find it in the Town Center section of Disney Springs.
