This week’s featured photo takes us to the BoardWalk Villas.
I’m going to be honest, of all the deluxe resorts, the BoardWalk Inn and Villas was at the bottom. It just never gave off a fun “Disney” vibe when I looked at pictures. However, that all changed once we actually stayed there.
In September/October 2015 we booked a 2 bedroom suite at the BoardWalk Villas. We were staying with friends and the 2 bedroom suites have a good amount of space to let the kids spread out. From the moment we stepped off the Magical Express we were surrounded by Disney magic. The cast members were wonderful and the old boardwalk theme throughout the resort was so much fun. The lobby has a lot of great decorations that compliment the theme very well. Just watch out for the “scary” chairs or, as I believe the proper name is, the nanny chairs. You’ll know them when you see them, trust me.
Another fun part of this hotel is the carpet. You’ve heard of Hidden Mickeys, right? There are quite a few in the carpet. The kids had a good time counting all the Mickeys every time we walked in the hallways. We were there for 12 days, so they found a lot of Mickeys.

One of the things that always struck me as a peaceful spot were these sitting areas that were in between the hallways for rooms. It wouldn’t seem like a peaceful spot, since it is in an area where people walk, but it really looks like a good place to sit and relax.
Needless to say, I was completely wrong about the BoardWalk Inn and Villas. We loved our stay and plan on staying there again!

Staying at the Boardwalk Inn in May for the first time, we switched our resort from the Yacht Club to the Boardwalk due to renovations in progress at theYacht Club. My family that is coming never stayed at a deluxe resort so we didn’t want to take any chances. It was so good to hear that you loved your stay there. Going to a new resort I was a little hesitant as we love love the Yacht Club. We are also staying club level so I’m hoping the experience is just as wonderful as the Yacht Club level.
