The My Disney Experience App is a very useful tool to have while you are on vacation in Disney World. I tell all my clients to download the app before their vacation, because you can do so much with it now.
Guests can already do things like FastPasses, make dining reservations, and check wait times on the app, but now there is even more. With this latest update, guests can now check in to their hotel using the app! Online check-in has been available on the website, but the ability to check in through the app is new. Online check-in can be done as soon as 60 days before the arrival date.
Here is Disney’s tutorial on the new check-in feature:
Another fun and new(ish) feature is mobile ordering. Some quick service restaurants in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs have this feature available. The Mobile Order feature started with one restaurant (Satu’li Canteen) and has now expanded to nine restaurants. The newest restaurants added are Pinocchio Village Haus and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.
Here is the full Mobile Order list:
- Magic Kingdom
- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
- Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn Cafe
- Pinocchio Village Haus
- Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant
- Animal Kingdom
- Flame Tree Barbecue
- Pizzafari
- Restaurantosaurus
- Satu’li Canteen
- Disney Springs
- D-Luxe Burger
Disney has been adding a lot of good features lately and I’m excited to see what is coming next with the My Disney Experience app.
What do you think about these new features?
Thanks for reading!

We are still waiting for the mobile ordering to accept the Disney Dining Plan. We were hoping this would happen before our upcoming trip, but it seems like it’s been out awhile with still no notice that you can use it with the Dining Plan. It’s a great convenience as you could order while waiting in line for an attraction; we’d love to be able to give it a try!
I’m hoping they add the option to use Dining Plan credits too. Fingers crossed they add it soon!
