Mission: SPACE is set to reopen from a refurb in just a couple of weeks. When it reopens there will be some new things for guests to see and experience.
When the attraction reopens there will be two experiences for guests to choose from, the Orange Mission and the Green Mission. One is a more intense experience and the other is tamer and good for those that want a more family-friendly experience.
Here are the new experiences and enhancements that Disney has announced:
Orange Mission
This is the more intense experience of the two and will be enhanced with HD video. This mission allows guests to feel the force of the launch, dodge meteoroids, attempt a landing on Mars, and more.
Green Mission
This is the family-friendly version and it stays a little closer to Earth. In this version guests will see sights around the world as they orbit around Earth. The Green Mission ends with a landing at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. With this mission Disney has added X-2 booster seats which means that now kids who are 40-44″ will be able to ride. Making this a definite family-friendly attraction.
Mission: SPACE will reopen on August 13 and, yes, FastPasses are now available. What do you think about these new experiences and enhancements?
