Disney World has been adding dessert parties to different shows over the past couple of years. It’s a way for guests to get reserved viewing of the fireworks and other shows, after enjoying some treats.
The first question is, are the dessert parties worth it? Some feel that you don’t get enough for what you end up paying and others love the dessert parties for the reserved viewing. After standing for over an hour last year waiting for Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam! to begin, I started to see the bonus of reserved viewing.
If you decide that you do want to try one of the dessert parties then the question becomes, which one should you try? They all sound delicious when you look at the list of food and drinks that are available. Some dessert parties have an extra bonus though. For instance, the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party brings party guests to Norway to ride the popular Frozen attraction after Illuminations.

Other Important Info
- A separate theme park ticket is needed for anyone attending a dessert party in one of the parks.
- The Magic Kingdom fireworks parties also have a less expensive version where guests still enjoy all the food and drink at the party, but instead of having a table they are escorted to prime viewing in the Plaza Garden. The cost for this option is $59 for adults and $35 for kids (ages 3-9).
- Reservations are highly recommended
- For more information you can visit Disney’s website.
These dessert parties have become a pretty common occurrence at Disney World and a lot of guests seem to like them. Most of the parties are the same price, so it really just depends on what you want included with the party and which fireworks show takes preference.
I have not been to a dessert party yet, but I am hoping to try one during my next visit. Just have to figure out which one to book.
Which dessert party sounds good to you?
Thanks for reading!

I like the idea of the frozen ever after party. Treats sound WONDERFUL and since the ride is included, it can open up a fast pass for something else.
My thoughts exactly, D’Ana. Not only can you get a good viewing area for Illuminations, but you basically get a Frozen Ever after FP with it. Definitely a win for those who want to ride the Frozen attraction!
Hi Liz,
The Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrow Land was MAGICAL. We all cried at the finale but we realized that we HAVE to return. I want to go to Frozen Ever Afer, next.

Hi Gina!!
I’m so glad that you had fun at the dessert party. The video you showed me of Tinker Bell flying overhead was awesome. It definitely looks like a magical time. 🙂 When you are ready, just say the word and I’ll start stalking reservations for Frozen Ever After Dessert Party for you! 😉
Hope all is well with you and the family!!
