This week’s ears in the spotlight are part of the Made with Magic collection.
The Made with Magic products are headbands, hats, and wands that light up different colors. They are fun to wear around the park while they are flashing colors. However, the real fun comes when you see a show while wearing a Made with Magic item.
These products are meant to flash along in time with certain shows and, in some instances, flash with the same colors as the show you are watching. The wand allows guests to change the colors on the other items. So guests can walk through the park with the Made with Magic wands and change the colors of other guests hats and headbands..
Since I purchased the headband in the picture, Disney has done an upgrade. The new headbands are all pink and the bow has white polka dots. It’s really cute!
The headband in the picture has a soft, plush padded headband and the ears are a soft plush material as well. The new headband looks to be the same material, but the ears look like they are plastic (like the Made with Magic Ear Hat).
With the headband in the picture the on/off button is located in the bow, which is hidden with velcro. On the new headband it looks like the switch is on the ear. While it’s nice to have the switch hidden on the older ears, having a switch on the ears will make it easier to turn on and off while you are wearing them.
On both the older ears and the newer version the bows are made of a satin-like material. The headband I have is a solid pink color and the newer ones are pink with white polka dots.
I love the Made with Magic products. They add some extra magic to the shows when you wear them. It’s fun to see multiple flashing headbands and hats. The Minnie Mouse Made with Magic Ear Headband is available on both shopDisney.com and the Shop Disney Parks app.
