We are now less than two months away from the opening of Toy Story Land. The anticipation is certainly building, especially for those that will be experiencing this new land soon.
Recently, Disney released a couple of videos that give guests a look at the latest progress. One of the videos shows part of the ride experience on Slinky Dog Dash and the other shows the installation of an animatronic on the already popular coaster.
The video showing part of the ride experience is only 30 seconds long, but even in the short clip the ride looks fun! Slinky Dog Dash has a pretty long track and it looks like it spans the entire new section. At points in the video it’s shown from the point of view inside the ride vehicle, giving guests an idea of what it will look like when they experience the ride. Check Disney’s video below.
The second video Disney released shows the installation of Wheezy at the end of Slinky Dog Dash. He appears as he is at the end of Toy Story 2, where he is singing “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.” What a cute way to end a fun looking ride! Disney posted a video showing the process of making Wheezy from the beginning to the end. It’s always cool to see these behind the scenes videos. Check out Disney’s video below.

I can’t believe I’m going to miss opening! We leave 6/30 I originally made my reservation thinking Toy Story was opening on Memorial Day! Any chance we would be able to enter just to view ahead of time?

It sounds like they are still putting the finishing touches on the new land, so I’m not sure if they will do a soft opening. I would definitely swing by there on your Hollywood Studios day and see what’s going on. You never know, maybe you’ll get lucky and they’ll be doing a soft opening. 🙂
