The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts starts on January 17 and runs through February 24, 2025. For the upcoming festival Disney has added some new experiences for guests to enjoy.
First up, at CommuniCore Hall guests will get to see the exhibit celebrating Disney’s 30 years on Broadway. This will be a walkthrough exhibit and will contain different costumes and props from different musicals. Another feature of this exhibit is a behind-the-scenes look into how “The Lion King” and “Aladdin” were adapted for the Broadway stage.
Also at CommuniCore Hall, well just outside of it, will be the Opening Bites Food Studio. The menu at this food studio will be all about food and drinks that have played a role onstage. As it gets closer to the start of the festival Disney will release more details and menus for the food studios.
Throughout the park Disney has different Artful Photo Ops, which allow guests to put themselves into famous paintings. Some of those paintings include Luncheon of the Boating Party and The Scream. A new photo op will include Disney’s Moana and I’m sure Disney will release more information about this as the festival gets closer.
New festival merchandise will also be available. Disney will have the usual festival souvenirs like paintings, prints, accessories, apparel, pins, etc., but this year Figment will have a new collection, which looks really cute. Disney shared a look at a few of the items.
Lastly, Disney is welcoming three new performers to the Disney on Broadway Concert Series this year. These shows take place each night of the festival at the America Gardens Theatre and they’re pretty popular, so if you want a good seat I would get there early. The three new performers this year are Jelani Remy (Simba in “The Lion King”), Rodney Ingram (title role in “Aladdin”), and John Riddle (Hans in “Frozen”).
