Once Disney replaced Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party with the Boo Bash After Hours event there was a question as to whether the Christmas party would have the same alteration this year. This morning Disney gave guests an answer.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will not return this year. Instead, Disney is offering an option like the Boo Bash After Hours event. Calling it Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours, this event will run from November 8 through December 21, 2021. The hours of the party are 9 pm – 1 am on select nights and guests with tickets to this event can enter Magic Kingdom park as early as 7 pm.
Even though this will be a modified version of the regular Christmas party, there will still be some of the same elements. Snow will fall on Main Street U.S.A., Christmas music will play throughout the park, there will be holiday fireworks during the event, and characters will be out waving at guests.

Tickets are not available yet, but will go on sale next month. Just like the Boo Bash tickets, there will be an early purchase window for guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Let’s just hope the wait times to purchase tickets are not the same as when Disney released Boo Bash tickets!
With these After Hours events the tickets are pretty limited. By limiting the tickets it gives guests attending the event much less wait times than normal, or even during the regular Christmas party. These After Hours tickets are definitely more expensive than the regular Christmas party tickets, but you do get the complimentary food listed above and very low wait times for rides. If you’re on the fence about spending money on this event, but you really want to go, I would look at replacing one of your park days with this ticket.
Given the time of the event, this may not be as attractive to families with young kids as the Christmas party is, which had an early entry of 4 pm. So if you’re not sure the kiddos can make it through a party that late then I wouldn’t spend the money. You’re probably better off doing a regular park day in Magic Kingdom and enjoying the all the holiday decorations that way.
Do you think you’ll get tickets for the Disney Very Merriest After Hours event or will you skip this one?
Thanks for reading!

Why is Disney leaving the word Christmas out, probably because they are caving into the small group that is trying to change this great country, as a stockholder in Disney we are extremely disappointed in the path they are going down, I hope other people will start speaking up so we have a Disney we will recognize for our children
