There have been many changes announced ahead of Disney World’s reopening next month. One of those changes was guests having their dining reservations cancelled through the rest of 2020.
Disney cancelled the reservations because they were making changes to the dining system. Guests will now book dining reservations 60 days before their arrival date instead of at 180 days. In addition to the window change Disney is utilizing the mobile ordering and mobile checkin to help lessen the contact between guests and cast members. Other changes for restaurants include the fact that not all will be open and that there are menu changes at a lot of them. One of the restaurants is showing a pretty big increase in price with their changes.
Be Our Guest Restaurant, up until recently, served a fast casual breakfast and lunch, and a table service dinner. The breakfast and lunch menus were al carte and the dinner menu was a prix fixe menu. Looking at the menu now that seems to have changed. The breakfast option has been removed and the lunch and dinner menus are now the same. So that means guests will be paying $62 per adult and $37 per child if they want to have lunch at Be Our Guest. Screenshots of the menu prices below.
This change is not necessarily permanent, though I’m not completely sure why this change was made. Hopefully it goes back to the way it was, at least after the initial reopening. I know a lot of people who like to have breakfast at Beast’s castle before heading out and enjoying the park for the day. It was cheaper to eat there than to eat at Cinderella’s Royal Table, but without losing that cool “dining in a castle” feeling. Fingers crossed the old menu comes back soon!
