Starting tomorrow (January 26, 2022) a few experiences will be added to Disney’s Genie+ service. The additions are not rides or shows though, they are for select character sightings, which will be a welcome addition to many.
Character Sightings Coming to Genie+:
- Cinderella and a Visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom
- Princess Tiana and a Visiting Princess at Princess Fairytale Hall at Magic Kingdom
- Mickey at Town Square Theater at Magic Kingdom
- Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight at Hollywood Studios
While it’s only a few, it’s nice to see characters being added to the Genie+ options. Hopefully this means more will be added to the list in the near future.
Disney’s Genie+ is a paid service that gives guests access to the Lightning Lane for select experiences in each of the four parks. In addition, there is another option guests can purchase for select rides that are not on the Genie+ lists, these rides are on the Individual Lightning Lane list. Prices for the Individual Lightning Lane options will vary depending on the experience and the day.

Yes! We are happy. We never wait in line for characters because it doesn’t seem like a good use of time. We used a FP once so our son could meet Mickey on his first trip. Amazing experience. We will definitely use a Lightning Lane for my daughter’s favorite, especially since I anticipate big gaps between our ride selections.
