Taking the stage at D23 Expo, Josh D’Amaro made an exciting announcement regarding a fan favorite song and fireworks show. He followed a group of signers who sang “Happily Ever After,” so starting with that song kind of gave the hint where he was going with his announcement.
Starting next year, “Happily Ever After” will return as part of the nighttime celebration. It wasn’t clear if the show will be returning in its original form or if it will be reimagined. One thing is for sure though, the song will be returning as part of whatever this nighttime celebration will be. Hopefully, it will be returning close to its original form, but that’s something we’ll keep an eye on for announcements regarding that.
“Happily Ever After” replaced the long running and fan favorite show, “Wishes.” While it was sad to see the long running show leave, guests did come to love “Happily Ever After” and the song of the same name. When it was announced in 2021 that the show would be changing again, guests were a bit disappointed, so it’s nice to see Disney is listening to guests.
Are you excited to see “Happily Ever After” return in some form?
