Today’s dose of Disney brings us to Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios.
Disney’s newest ride, Rise of the Resistance, opened in Galaxy’s Edge in December. The whole experience is very cool. I’m going to be honest, I’ve never been the biggest Star Wars fan. However, I love Galaxy’s Edge and the rides there. Rise of the Resistance, though, is different than any other Disney ride I’ve been on. For starters, there really isn’t a queue line, the whole experience starts pretty quickly once you make your way through the outside queue line and get in the building. It’s nice because it keeps you moving, keeps you engaged in the story, and it doesn’t feel like you are waiting in line. Another great thing about this experience are the cast members. They were great in their roles and each had a part to play in the story, which made the guests feel like they were part of the story.
Once you board the ride vehicle you are in for a fast ride to escape the First Order. There are so many things to see during this part. It’s hard to take it all in, but definitely try to look around as much as you can. The scenery and animatronics during the ride portion are so impressive to see in person. It’s honestly non-stop immersion into the Star Wars world from beginning to end. The best part is you don’t need to be a Star Wars fan to appreciate how cool this ride is.
The picture above has been a popular picture spot and for good reason. The group of Stormtroopers in front of the picture of space is a really cool picture. When your group first enters that room you can tell everyone is impressed with the scene there. Cast members give you a chance to take a picture here, but you can’t linger, they’ll ask you to keep moving. This area is an awesome backdrop though, so make sure to snap your picture quickly before moving on.
Hope this brought a little magic to your day! Have you had a chance to ride Rise of the Resistance?
Thanks for reading!
