Daisy Duck was recently added to the list of characters guests can meet during breakfast at Cape May Cafe. She brings the total number of characters at Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast to four.
I was excited to hear that Daisy got added right before we were leaving for our trip to Disney World. She has been a favorite character of mine as far back as I can remember. When I was a kid I had the Daisy Cartoon Classic – Limited Gold Edition on VHS (remember those?!) and watched it all the time. During my first trip, when I was seven, I was so excited to see the parade and then disappointed that Daisy was not in it. Daisy has not always had as much of a presence in the park as some of the other characters. So, it’s nice to see her being added to more places around Disney World property.
Once I heard Daisy was going to be at the breakfast, I made reservations for my family. We hadn’t been there since 2014 anyway, so it was time for another visit. The food was just as good as I remember and the character interaction was great. Each of the characters came around two or three times. My kids were excited to see all of the characters, but I was most excited to see Daisy.
Her outfit is really cute. It’s a pretty blue color, which reminds you of the ocean, and it fits in well with the outfits the other characters wear. Her bow is striped with yellow, blue, pink, and purple and has a yellow flower in the middle. She also has a purple flower on her outfit, so the yellow and purple flowers match the colors of the two bracelets she is wearing. She was great with the kids and always stopped for hugs from them when she came by our table.
In addition to Daisy, guests can also meet Minnie, Donald, and Goofy at Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast. Cape May Cafe is located at the Beach Club Resort and is a buffet style restaurant. The characters are only at breakfast, so if you want to see the characters make sure you book breakfast there. (Tip: It’s a good meal to book if you are spending the day in Epcot)
Check out the menu on Disney’s website to see some of what they offer. Like most of the character dining experiences in Disney World, you are paying more for the experience than the food. Not that the food is bad, it’s pretty good, but it is typical breakfast buffet fare.
Our experience at Cape May Cafe was a very positive one. Everyone had a great time with the characters and enjoyed the food. Plus, it’s nice to stroll to Epcot after breakfast. We’ll definitely be back!
Have you been to Cape May Cafe?
Thanks for reading!
