Disney has announced a new pavilion area and changes to the entrance of Epcot. All of this is part of Disney’s multi-year transformation of the park.
The first thing that Disney announced is the play pavilion, which will be located in the pavilion that was previously know as Wonders of Life. According to Disney, this will be an “innovative city that’ll come to life under the dome.” It sounds like it’s going to be a pretty fun area to check out! There are going to be interactive experiences (including hands-on activities), Disney characters, and other entertainment.
Changes to the entrance of Epcot were also announced today. The changes include new pathways, green areas, and a reimagined fountain. Disney said it’s paying “homage to the original park entrance with fresh takes on classic elements.” Also, the Leave A Legacy photos will be moved to just outside the park’s gateway. By moving the Leave A Legacy photos the area will feel more open, which will be a welcome change for many.
Disney also announced a new Experience Center, located in the Odyssey Events Pavilion. This new experience will be coming to Epcot later this year. Guests will find interactive exhibits to help “visualize park projects.”
The additions and upgrades are expected to be completed in time for Disney World’s 50th anniversary.
What do you think about the additions coming to Epcot over the next couple of years?
Thanks for reading!

I like the change at the entrance. It will be much better looking than all the concrete right now!
The entrance sounds like it will be a nice change. I’m also excited to hear they are finally going to do something with the wonders of life pavilion, that has been a long time coming!!! Also love the fact they are making plans with odyssey as well. Love to hear about new plans!!!
I agree Dina! It’s so nice to see them doing something with those spaces and I’m really excited to see the redesigned entrance. It feels too crowded right now with the Leave a Legacy photos.
My favorite place to visit
