About a week or so before Pandora – The World of Pandora opened, Disney announced that they would be trying something new. Satu’li Canteen was the first restaurant to have the mobile order option in the My Disney Experience. Now, a second restaurant has been added to the list.
Guests can now place mobile orders for Pizzafari via the My Disney Experience app. Disney has said that they will be adding more options from Animal Kingdom this summer. Eventually, though, Disney will expand the options to include the rest of Disney property.
The idea is that you can place your order in the app and tell the restaurant when you are there. Once you click that you are there they will start to prepare your food and notify you when it is done. There is a separate line that you can go in to pick up the mobile order. When I was in Satu’li Canteen there was a cast member helping to point people in the ride direction.
I want to point out that a screen will pop up when you go in to order food. It explains that by ordering food at Satu’li Canteen it does not guarantee entry to Pandora. It sounds like things are still pretty busy in the new section of the park, so keep that in mind when ordering too.
I did not get to try the mobile ordering when I was in Disney World for my last visit, but I am excited to try it out the next time I am there.
