A vacation to Disney World usually requires a lot of planning. It’s a very big area and there are so many things to do and so many reservations to make. Unless, of course, your trip is very last minute.
I am definitely a planner when it comes to Disney World. Once that 180 day window opens up I am online making my Disney reservations and the same goes for when the FastPass window opens. Planning most things out for your Disney trip is helpful if there are certain restaurants you want to eat in or certain attractions you want to see.
This vacation is very last minute. I always book pretty far out, because I want to make sure we get the reservations we want and the FastPasses we want. However, we decided very last minute to visit Disney to see the opening of Pandora, so there isn’t a lot of time to plan.
I’m going to be honest, there is a bit of a knot in my stomach knowing that I haven’t been able to plan like I usually do. For this trip I am trying to look at it as a new experience, because we are going into it with no dining reservations or FastPasses. We may book some before we leave, but I’m not sure.
There are many ways to experience Disney and a last minute trip is definitely a different way for us to experience Disney World. We are going into this vacation very laid back. Since we haven’t booked dining this may be a quick service only trip, which is also something that would be new for us. I’ve made a list of different quick service options we want to try, so we’ve done a little bit of planning. It’s good to experience Disney World in different ways, because you get different experiences.
This time we are staying at a resort where we have never stayed before, which is exciting. The resort we picked is Coronado Springs and the pool at this resort looks like a lot of fun. I’ll write a detailed blog with pictures and videos so you can see what the resort looks like. I anticipate taking a lot of pictures.
Also, I want to try to do some Facebook Live videos. So if you want to see some live Disney World videos make sure you are in the Facebook group. I’m excited to share the adventure!
Now I just have to remember to pack everything we need…
Have you ever planned a last minute Disney World vacation?
Thanks for reading!

I’ve been going to Disney at least once a year and most of the time twice a year for over 26 years, and the best trips are always the ones taken with very little advance notice, if your a “TRUE” Disney fan it doesn’t require a lot of planning it’s the fact of just being there
Hi Clay!
I get what you are saying and I know when I’m there everything will be good. However, for a lot of true Disney fans planning is part of the experience, at least that is how it is for me. The planning keeps the excitement going while you are waiting for your arrival day. But, yes, just being there is fantastic.
Well enjoy your trip let us all know how Pandora is, we have a VIP trip to Pandora when we get there at the end of June, so I hope it’s worth all the hype
Thanks! It will be fun, it’s always fun in Disney
I hope it’s worth the hype too. We’ll see!
What days will you be in the parks? We might see you there!
I’m going to try for all four days. I’m getting a Park Hopper, so I’ll be all over the place from Wednesday to Saturday. Lol. That would be so much fun to run into each other in the parks! I’ll be doing some Facebook Live in the Main Street Wishes Facebook group, so you can follow along there if you would like
It would be fun to meet other people from the Main Street Wishes community while I’m there!
Wow. Good luck. I would have a knot in my gut too. Lol. Can’t wait for the blogs and reviews!
LOL! I’m feeling better the closer we get to the arrival day, but the knot is still there.
