Earlier this month, Disney announced that they were working on an update to the dining reservation process. This update is for both Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California.
The reason for the update to the process is to make the experience easier and more user friendly. The update is now available on the app and being able to see all available time slots at once definitely makes a difference. The other helpful change is that it separates the meal time in to blocks. So it is clear which time slots are for which meal periods when making reservations. When you first get to the dining reservation screen in the app you will choose your party size, then it asks for the date, and finally it asks for the meal time you would prefer. A great part of the update is the option to choose “All Day,” which gives you all available time slots that are blocked off separately for each meal period. It really does make the dining reservation process smoother.
I checked the website for Disney World and it doesn’t look like that has been updated. Since the process has been updated on the app, I wouldn’t think the website would be far behind it. For now, to use the updated dining reservation process, stick to the app.
Have you checked out the new dining reservation process yet? If so, what do you think?
