One of the most anticipated things coming to the new Monsters Inc. area in Hollywood Studios is the roller coaster. This new coaster is themed after the door vault scene in the first movie. Now we know that this roller coaster will have something other roller coasters in Disney do not have, a vertical lift.
Monstropolis is going to bring the world of Monsters Inc. to life when it opens. Guests can expect to see some of the well known characters of the movie, like Mike and Sully, as well as others. Of course, the big attraction will be the door vault ride. Ever since the movie first premiered fans thought that scene would make the perfect roller coaster, so there was understandable excitement at the announcement of the new ride.
Recently, Disney released a video of a very cool feature of this upcoming roller coaster, the vertical lift. This is a first for Disney and it definitely mimics the doors in the movie being lifted and turning to enter the vault. This is going to be such a fun ride!
