We found out the other day that Planet Hollywood Observatory is now accepting reservations for bookings beginning on Feb. 1. That made us wonder if Paddlefish would be far behind and today we got our answer.
Disney has announced that Paddlefish will be opening on Feb. 4, three days after Planet Hollywood Observatory. The restaurant is in the former location of Fulton’s Crab House. It’s been redesigned to look like a modern yacht, which will definitely be a different look from the design of Fulton’s Crab House. The new design is focused on “a sophisticated pallet of blues and grays” with “refined woods” throughout as well.
Some things you can expect to see on the menu include:
- Maine Lobster
- King and Snow Crabs
- Sea Bass
- Catfish
- Salmon
- Branzino for Two
- Lobster Guacamole
- Lobster Corn Dogs
- Crab Legs
They will also be serving cocktails that are inspired by turn-of-the-century American cocktails, as well as Old and New World wines.
They will be open for both lunch and dinner everyday. Plus, they will be serving Sunday brunch. I’m pretty excited about the Sunday brunch. The regular menu sounds delicious, so I can only imagine what the brunch menu will look like.
I will admit, I really enjoyed Fulton’s Crab House, but I understand things have to change. I’m hoping the redesign is really nice and won’t leave people missing the look of Fulton’s Crab House. However, as long as the food is good, people should be happy.
What are you looking most forward to with the opening of Paddlefish, the food or the redesign?

If you are on the disney deluxe dining plan and are thinking about going to the new Paddlefish make sure you bring extra money as some of the seafood and other items that we have enjoyed in the past at Fulton are listed as DD + $.
This kind of puts a bad taste in the mouths of the people that have used the deluxe dining in the past. I remember being on the deluxe dining plan when tips were included. Disney simply told me that the customer wanted to decide what kind of tip to give the server. I don’t think so!
There are lots of other great Disney places to eat. I feel like the paddlefish is calling the Disney deluxe dining customers riff raff.
