I thought it might be a good idea to break down the different ticket options available to guests.
We’ll start with base tickets:
This is your basic option. It will allow you to enter one park per day of the length of the ticket. So if you buy a 5-day base ticket and decide to go to Magic Kingdom on your first day, that is the only park you can attend that day. If you want to visit one of the other three parks you will have to go on another day.
You can leave and re-enter the same park on the same day with a base ticket. So if you make rope drop at the Magic Kingdom, but want to leave in the afternoon for pool time and still see Wishes later the same night, you can do that.
You can leave and re-enter the same park on the same day as many times as you want. I wouldn’t recommend doing that during busier times of the year, because the park can fill to capacity and you won’t be able to get back in the park.
Next, adding the Park Hopper Option:
This option will allow you to park hop every day for the length of the ticket. So if you want to spend the morning in Epcot and then see Wishes at night, you can.
If you are feeling ambitious, you can try to hit all four parks in one day. I would need a large amount of caffeine to accomplish that!
Finally, the Water Park Fun and More Option:
This will give you the ability to go to one of the places listed below. This is in addition to the parks, however it is not a park hopper ticket. So you can visit one park and one of the attractions below per day for the length of your ticket.
If your ticket is for 5 days and you have the Water Park Fun and More option, you can pick one of these for each day of your 5 day ticket:
- Blizzard Beach
- Typhoon Lagoon
- DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park
- ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
- Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course
- Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
- Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course
You can get both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More option added, if you think you will use both enough to make it worth the cost.
Part 2 will cover the cost and why it costs less the more days you add on to the tickets.
Thanks for reading!
