Very exciting news was released today. Disney has announced that fireworks spectaculars will be returning to the parks soon!
In less than a month both Walt Disney World and Disneyland will see the return of nightly fireworks shows. This is welcome news for fans of the shows, as they’ve been missed quite a bit over the past year. There’s something special about ending a day in the parks with a beautiful fireworks show.
So, starting July 1 Magic Kingdom and EPCOT will see the return of nightly fireworks shows. “Happily Ever After” will be back transforming Cinderella Castle with lights, projections and pyrotechnics. The show includes scenes and audio from favorite Disney movies.
Epcot will once again end the day with “EPCOT Forever,” the placeholder show between the end of IllumiNations and the beginning of Harmonious. “EPCOT Forever” focuses on the themes of innovation, exploration, imagination, and celebration of the park’s past, present, and future.
Disneyland will begin their fireworks show on July 4 with “Mickey’s Mix Magic,” which will be presented throughout the summer. This nightly show includes state-of-the-art projections, show lighting, and lasers that will transform Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, and the facade of “it’s a small world” with a family dance party to celebrate Mickey Mouse.
