One of Disney’s popular restaurants has been closed for an extensive refurb, which included both the appearance and the menu. Guests have been waiting on a reopening date and now we have one.
Disney has set the reopening date of Flying Fish as August 14. This is one of the restaurants located on the Boardwalk and it has been one of Disney’s more popular restaurants. People were sad when they heard it was closing for a refurb, but now that there is an opening date the excitement can start to set in.
Reservations do not appear to be open yet. I tried to make reservations on different days in different months and there were no tables available. So it’s either already all booked or reservations have not opened yet. I will keep a lookout for when reservations do open and post the information. Reservations will probably open up sometime next month.
I imagine this will be a popular place to try, given the history of its popularity, but also the fact that there are going to be some changes on the menu and the interior has been redesigned. This post from Disney Parks Blog talks about how the restaurant is going to reopen with a new look, a new chef, and a new cocktail lounge next door. The menu items they talk about sound delicious and the renderings of the dining room look beautiful. Very excited to see the finished product!
The reopening date has been added to the updated Refurb List.
