This week’s featured photo brings us to Magic Kingdom.
Cinderella Castle is the icon and symbol of Magic Kingdom. For most people, when someone says Magic Kingdom a picture of the castle immediately pops into their head. In fact, the castle is also a symbol as Disney World as a whole. It’s the first thing any first-time visitor wants to see and have their picture taken in front of.
Disney dresses the castle up for holidays with the icicle lights every year. The icicle lights are so pretty and definitely something that should be seen in person. Thanks to technology, Disney also dresses the castle up with projections for other holidays (like at the Halloween parties) and for the fireworks show. The projections on the castle for the Happily Ever After fireworks show are really impressive.
Inside the castle guests will find five murals that tell the story of Cinderella. The murals are beautifully designed, but are easy to miss, because they are located on the walls of the pathway guests use to get to Fantasyland. I would recommend slowing down the next time you walk through the castle to look at the murals.
Also inside the castle is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Cinderella’s Royal Table. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is an adorable boutique where Fairy Godmothers in Training give magical makeovers to little girls and boys ages 3-12. It’s a fun experience for both the kids and the adults. Cinderella’s Royal Table is a character/signature dining experience inside the castle. When you enter the dining room you really feel like you are inside a castle and the windows overlook Fantasyland. I like the fact that you can look over to Beast’s Castle from the windows at Cinderella’s Royal Table. It’s a fun dining experience and one everyone should experience.
The experience that most people would love to have, but few get to experience, is staying in the Cinderella Castle Suite. This suite is located in Cinderella Castle and is pretty luxurious. Anyone who has stayed in the suite has raved about it and looking at pictures you can understand why. Check out pictures from ABC News from this past May.
The featured photo for this week is a picture of the castle at night. I took this picture during the Disney After Hours event. The castle is always lit with pretty colors and the reflection in the water just made picture that much better. I was passing by on the bridge to Liberty Square and I could not resist taking this picture. The castle is so photogenic and this is probably one that I will frame.
Do you have a favorite picture of Cinderella Castle?
Thanks for reading!

I love Disney Princesses and world
How do you get invited to stay in the castle? Do you need to be rich and famous?
Hi Dorothy! Sometimes they have contests where people can win stays in the castle. I haven’t heard of anything recently though.
