This week’s featured photo takes us to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
One of the perks of staying at the Contemporary Resort is that it is has access to the Resort Monorail. If you are shopping, dining, or staying in the Contemporary Resort tower you will see the monorail pass through the building. It’s pretty fun to see, especially if you are seeing it for the first time.
Disney has two monorail loops, one for the Disney Resorts and one that goes to Epcot. The Resort Monorail has five stops and the second loop runs between the Transportation and Ticket Center and Epcot.
Monorail Routes
- First Route
- Magic Kingdom
- Contemporary Resort
- Transportation and Ticket Center
- Polynesian Village Resort
- Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
There is also a second line on the above route that just runs between Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center.

- Transportation and Ticket Center
- Epcot

The featured photo is the monorail passing through the Contemporary Resort. You can see the mural in the background that is unique in style to the Contemporary Resort and to the “it’s a small world” ride (thanks to Disney Legend Mary Blair).
It’s fun watching the monorail pass through the Contemporary. The kids love waving at the people as they pass through the building. It’s definitely a very unique feature to this Disney Resort hotel!
Have you visited the Contemporary Resort and watched the monorail pass through?
Thanks for reading!
