This week’s featured photo brings us to Future World in Epcot.
The Seas with Nemo & Friends is a really cute ride that the whole family can enjoy. When you enter the building you will find yourself winding your way through the queue line. As you begin, take a look around, you are supposed to be on a beach area and as you make your way to the ride vehicle you are walking from the beach and going under the water. It’s a clever design, but also easily missed if you are hurrying through the line to get to the ride.
When you get to the loading area you will notice it is the same design as the loading area at the Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan’s Flight, the PeopleMover, etc. where guests board the ride vehicles by walking on a moving walkway. The moving walkways help keep the lines moving at a constant rate, so the load time is quicker than some other rides.
Your ride vehicle keeps with the theme of the ride too. Once you board your “clamobile” your journey to find Nemo starts. The ride follows Marlin and Dory as they search for Nemo, running into familiar characters from the movie along the way. You even get to catch a ride on the EAC (Easter Australian Current)! Totally righteous dude!
The coolest part about this ride is that the computer animated characters from the movie are projected into the real aquarium in the building! So the characters are swimming around with real fish. Some Disney/Imagineering magic at it’s finest!
This is a cute ride and I would definitely recommend getting a FastPass for it if you have little kids. They’ll love looking for Nemo!
Have you been on The Seas with Nemo & Friends?
Thanks for reading!

The A/C also works VERY good on this ride. Great place to chill out and then look at the aquarium afterwards. My wife and I love to use this as a recharge spot for ourselves and the kids before heading back out.
Good point Doug! The air conditioning is very welcome, especially in the summer months. 🙂
