Today is National Roller Coaster Day and Disney World has plenty of fun coasters to choose from. Each of the four parks have at least one fun roller coaster guests can ride.
My favorite is Splash Mountain, though it is kind of a combo flume ride/roller coaster. My other favorite roller coaster is Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom. I was very nervous the first time I road Expedition Everest, because of the section where it goes backwards. After riding it though, that quickly became my favorite part!
Roller coasters, especially Space Mountain, have become a right of passage for a lot of kids. A lot of kids can’t wait until they are tall enough to ride the coasters and when they finally are it’s a very special occasion.
Some tips:
- If you are traveling with a child that is too short to ride you can use the “Rider Swap” program, where one parent rides and one parent stays with the child and then they switch.
- I have also heard that if your child is too short to ride some Cast Members give out “future FastPasses,” so when your child is tall enough to ride they will have a FastPass. I am not certain if this is still a thing, but it can’t hurt to ask.
So in honor of National Roller Coaster Day I want to know which is your favorite roller coaster. If you have more than one favorite check off all the ones that you love.
Love Disney’s roller coasters and the stories that go along with them!
