The Disney After Hours Events have become very popular, and for good reason. Due to the popularity Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom will both have After Hours events too now.
During these events the lines are super short (or nonexistent) and the park feels empty. I experienced the Disney After Hours event at Magic Kingdom and it was one of the best events I have been too. There were no lines for anything, I mean I rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train twice in less than half an hour, and there were free snacks and drinks. It was great!
Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom are going to get in on the fun now too. Just like at Magic Kingdom, guests with Disney After Hours tickets can enter the park at 7 p.m., before the event actually begins. So you don’t need a separate theme park ticket, unless you want to enter the park before 7 p.m. Ice cream, popcorn, and select beverages are also included in the price of the event ticket.
Each park has a bunch of different dates to choose from. There are dates from early December to mid-April at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.

Tickets for the After Hours event at Magic Kingdom are already available. On November 15 tickets for the After Hours events at Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom will be available to purchase. The cost is $125 (plus tax) in advance or $129 (plus tax) on the day of the event. Discounts are available for Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders at a cost of $95 (plus tax).
While I found the event at Magic Kingdom to be a lot of fun and worth the price for me (I got the AP discount), the cost can add up pretty quickly for a family. I would suggest not visiting another park during the day and just consider the After Hours ticket your theme park ticket for the day. You will get so much done in the hours that you are there anyway. The short lines give you the opportunity to experience things multiple times.
To purchase these event tickets you can call the Disney Reservation Center at 407-939-7795 or contact your travel agent.

What attractions are available at Animal Kingdom?
Hi Leonard!
They didn’t give a list, but Disney did specifically mention that Flight of Passage will be open. When Magic Kingdom does the After Hours events they have over 25 attractions and character meet and greets available to guests. So I would imagine that a fair amount of the experiences will be available for guests during the event.
