During our last visit to Disney World we stayed at Kidani Village. If you are looking for a quiet stay at Disney, I definitely recommend this resort. We loved staying here and will definitely be back!
Kidani Village was added as a DVC section to Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House. We previously had breakfast at Boma and loved Animal Kingdom Lodge, so we were very happy when we were able to get reservations for Kidani.
When we first arrived at Kidani Village we noticed that the lobby was much smaller than Jambo House, but no less beautiful. I’ve said it before, but it is so true, Disney is great with details. So, even though it may not have been as “grand” we were still very impressed by the lobby. I loved the chandeliers and the decor in the lobby.
There is a huge window that looks out to the Savannah and stairs that lead down from the lobby to the door that leads to the viewing area outside. The lobby has some seating, so you can just hang out there if you want and watch the animals through the big window. For a better view of the animals, head down the stairs and out the door (Sanaa is also downstairs from the lobby). They have a very roomy area to watch the animals, complete with a fire pit and rocking chairs. There is a cast member out in the viewing area who will be able to answer any questions you have. When we were there in January 2014 we were lucky enough to see a baby zebra and baby giraffe that were on the Savannah. It’s pretty relaxing to spend some time out there just observing the animals.
